Senior Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're a fast-moving, seed-stage AI company modernizing procurement and distribution operations across defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors. Our platform connects fragmented data sources, automates complex workflows, and gives operators real-time visibility into their supply chains — embedding engineers directly into client operations to deliver high-impact solutions.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core platform team. This is a backend-leaning full-stack role working across the entire product — from polished frontend UIs to robust backend services, AI workflow systems, and thoughtfully designed data models. You'll collaborate closely with both the platform team and forward-deployed, customer-facing engineers to build systems that integrate with complex legacy environments and power high-value supply chain operations.

Our engineering team of ~17 is co-located across two hubs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, build, and maintain robust full-stack systems that integrate with complex legacy environments (ERP, CRM, email, spreadsheets, supplier portals, and more)

• Build frontend UIs using Svelte and TypeScript that are intuitive and performant

• Develop backend services and APIs that support high-value, high-throughput supply chain operations

• Architect and implement AI workflows and validation systems that automate quoting, sourcing, and data entry tasks

• Design and evolve PostgreSQL database schemas and data models to support complex procurement workflows

• Organize and deliver multiple projects in parallel, collaborating across a multi-location team

• Work closely with forward-deployed engineers embedded in client environments to inform platform design

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• 5–10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background

• Proficiency in Svelte, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL — this is the core stack

• Proven experience building backend services and APIs, not just frontend work

• Experience designing and maintaining database schemas and data models

• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/ML workflows, including validation and automation pipelines

• Comfort integrating with complex, fragmented legacy systems (ERP, CRM, file-based, API-based, etc.)

• Ability to manage and ship multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Strong collaborative instincts — this team moves fast and works closely together on-site

Nice to Have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, industrial distribution, or similarly regulated/complex sectors

• Background at high-growth startups or in forward-deployed / customer-embedded engineering roles

• Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, or RFQ management systems

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD annually, depending on experience

• Equity participation at seed stage

• Collaborative, high-ownership engineering culture with direct impact on product direction

LOCATION

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site. Relocation support may be available for the right candidate.
