Forward Deployed Engineer
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small, high-caliber founding team building an AI-powered platform for private market operations — think fund accounting automation, data reconciliation, and workflow orchestration for asset servicers and asset managers. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll own technical delivery end-to-end: from initial discovery with client operations teams all the way through to production launch of AI-driven agents. What you learn in the field directly shapes the core product.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise fintech and cutting-edge AI infrastructure, with real ownership and outsized impact from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the full technical project lifecycle — from discovery workshops with private-market operations teams through to production deployments
- Collaborate directly with customer teams to map existing workflows and identify adoption barriers
- Convert customer processes into AI-driven, automated workflows on the platform
- Build customer-tailored prototypes with rapid iteration cycles and informed scope adjustments
- Feed deployment insights back into product development planning, acting as the voice of the customer internally
- Develop standardized approaches and reusable components from recurring cross-customer patterns
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 1–6 years of experience in a software engineering or technical delivery role
- Proficiency in TypeScript and comfort working across the full stack
- Experience with backend frameworks (e.g. NestJS or similar), relational databases (e.g. Postgres), and ORMs (e.g. Prisma)
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (e.g. React, TanStack, Tailwind)
- Strong communication skills — you're comfortable in rooms with both engineers and operations professionals
- A bias for action: you can scope, prototype, and ship quickly in ambiguous environments
Nice to Have
- Background in financial services, private markets, or fund operations
- Experience with agentic or LLM-based workflow tooling (e.g. Mastra, Inngest, or similar)
- Prior experience at a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical role at a B2B SaaS or AI company
- Exposure to enterprise integrations — ERPs, banking systems, email/portal data pipelines
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: €70,000 – €110,000 per year, depending on experience
- Visa sponsorship available
- Early-stage equity opportunity
- High ownership and direct influence on product direction
