Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a founding-team role at a pre-seed AI fintech startup building automation tools for private-market operations. You will own technical delivery end-to-end, from initial discovery with asset servicers and asset managers through to production launch of AI-driven fund accounting workflows. Your work directly shapes both customer outcomes and the core product roadmap.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the full project lifecycle for customer deployments, from discovery through production launch.

• Work directly with customer operations teams to map workflows and identify adoption barriers.

• Convert customer processes into AI-driven workflows on the platform.

• Build customer-tailored prototypes, iterating quickly and adjusting scope based on real feedback.

• Feed deployment insights back into product development planning.

• Develop standardized approaches and reusable components from patterns that emerge across engagements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1 to 6 years of experience shipping production software.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with hands-on experience with NestJS, Postgres/Prisma, and React.

• Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to scope, prototype, and iterate on technical deliverables, forward-deployed or solutions engineering experience is a strong signal.

• Genuine empathy for and ability to understand private-market operations workflows.

• Comfortable working in a small, high-caliber team where ownership and initiative are expected.

• Background in private markets, fund accounting, or financial operations is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: 70,000 to 110,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site in Berlin, Germany. The team works closely together in person from the Berlin office.
