Engineering Intern
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a fast-growing, Series A/B-backed EdTech company building an AI-powered learning platform used by tens of millions of students across 30+ countries. As an Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside a talented and international engineering team to contribute to real product features that help students learn more effectively — from AI tutoring tools to study resources and beyond.
This is a hands-on internship where you'll be embedded in the team and expected to ship meaningful work. The internship runs for 3–6 months and is based in Berlin, Germany.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Contribute to the development and improvement of features across a mobile-first, AI-driven learning platform
- Write clean, well-tested code in one or more languages (e.g. Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers in an agile environment
- Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
- Take ownership of scoped tasks and deliver them end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, or JavaScript), demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, or a prior internship
- Ability to commit to the full internship duration (3–6 months) with a flexible schedule to accommodate project needs
- A portfolio or examples of coding work (e.g. a GitHub profile or project repository)
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a tech startup or product-focused engineering environment
- Familiarity with mobile app development (iOS/Android) or web development
- Interest in EdTech, AI, or consumer-facing applications
