This role is based in Munich, Germany and follows a hybrid working model. You are expected to be in the office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely for a few weeks at a time.
Founding full-stack engineer at a pre-seed AI-powered ConTech SaaS in Munich. Hybrid with 3 office days/week. TypeScript/Next.js/PostgreSQL/Supabase, German fluency required, €70k–90k, no visa sponsorship.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a founding-team engineering position at a pre-seed AI-powered SaaS startup operating in the construction technology (ConTech) space. As one of the first engineers, you will own the product technically from day one — partnering directly with the founders to build a category-defining platform that automates project documentation, decision tracking, workflow management, and risk analysis for the construction industry.
You will have end-to-end ownership across the full stack, from data models and backend systems to intuitive, responsive user interfaces, with direct and visible impact on customer outcomes in a rapidly evolving market.
Important: German language proficiency is a hard requirement for this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build customer-facing features spanning database design through beautiful, responsive frontends.
- Design robust, scalable systems capable of handling complex workflows and large, real-world datasets.
- Ship code fast — work in a high-velocity environment where ideas go from concept to production in days.
- Build sophisticated data workflows leveraging AI and vector data capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with founders to shape product direction and key technical decisions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required skills & experience
- Fluent German speaker (hard requirement).
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js for full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Supabase, including vector data.
- Familiarity with LangChain, TanStack Query, and shadcn UI for building UIs and data workflows.
- A track record of stable tenure — preferably roles lasting 12+ months (internships excluded).
- Strong computer science fundamentals; a university degree is valued but not required.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a startup environment, shipping features rapidly.
- Experience in or knowledge of the construction or project management industry.
- Ability to take full end-to-end ownership from database to UI with a direct eye on customer impact.
- Collaborative, founder-ready mindset — comfortable contributing to product and strategic decisions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 per year, depending on experience.
