About Technology.

Technology at Huge is powered by a global practice of creative technologists—spanning Engineers, QA specialists, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and ML Architects—we look beyond standard patterns to build resilient, enterprise-grade systems. We combine deep engineering rigor with innovation at the edge of agentic AI, modern data stacks, and cloud infrastructure. We don't wait for industry standards to set themselves; we engineer the intelligent systems that turn audacious strategic vision into production-ready reality.

The role.

Huge is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure to build and maintain scalable, distributed backend systems. You’ll work on event-driven architectures, APIs, and resilient integrations, ensuring high performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience.

What you'll be doing.

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#, .NET 8+, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build scalable distributed systems that support high-concurrency applications.
  • Design decoupled, event-driven architectures and manage event flows, state, and consistency across distributed environments.
  • Develop reliable webhook integrations with signature verification, idempotency, retry logic, and fault-tolerant data flows.
  • Build and optimize data access solutions using Entity Framework Core, Dapper, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions using Azure services, including Event Hubs, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Managed Identity.
  • Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and manage deployment lifecycles.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement structured logging, health checks, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Apply defensive coding practices and resilience patterns to ensure graceful degradation and automated recovery.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests and support security scanning practices.
  • Design clean, consistent APIs using OpenAPI and code generation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we'd like to see.

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET 8+, and ASP.NET Core, building backend services and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, asynchronous communication, and distributed system consistency.
  • Proven experience building production-grade webhook integrations, including signature verification, idempotency, retries, and fault tolerance.
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core, Dapper, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Event Hubs, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Managed Identity.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC), container-first architectures, and deployment practices.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, or Datadog, as well as Serilog and health check endpoints.
  • Knowledge of resilience libraries and patterns, such as Polly, for handling failures and enabling recovery.
  • Experience writing automated tests with xUnit, using mocking libraries such as Moq or NSubstitute and FluentAssertions.
  • Strong understanding of API design and API contracts, including OpenAPI and code generation tools such as TypeSpec or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs and keep user experience at the center of technical decisions.
