Senior Engineer

Early-stage health & wellness startup | Senior Engineer | Chicago or REMOTE (US) | Contract, 40 hrs/wk We're an early-stage venture building a new mission-driven mobile product in health & wellness, hiring a senior engineer to own the mobile + backend stack end-to-end and set the technical foundation for scale.

The role spans architecture, mobile, backend, infra, and the engineering-quality bar sits with you. Small team, high ownership, direct access to the CEO.

Stack

React Native + TypeScript, GCP, CI/CD. Looking for: - 7+ years professional experience, with real 0-to-1 / early-stage work - Shipped mobile apps (ideally React Native) - Strong backend: APIs and data models from scratch - Comfortable owning architecture - Self-directed in an ambiguous, early-stage environment Contract (1099), 40 hrs/week. Chicago preferred for in-person time with the CEO; remote (US) considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as an independent contractor; no visa sponsorship.
