As a Principal Software Engineer , you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Walmart Marketplace Platform, driving innovation through modern cloud-native technologies while collaborating with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver world-class solutions.
What You'll Do Design and build scalable, high-performance applications using Java , React , and TypeScript . Architect and develop microservices and RESTful APIs for Walmart Marketplace. Lead technical design discussions and drive architectural decisions for distributed systems. Perform hands-on coding, code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization. Mentor software engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team. Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Maintain application health through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements. Build and enhance developer platforms, frameworks, and shared engineering tools. Leverage cloud-native technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver reliable solutions. Champion innovation and contribute to the continuous evolution of Walmart's Marketplace Platform.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 5+ years of software engineering experience , OR 7+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
